Yo también, canto a América.
Yo soy el hermano de piel oscura.
Ellos me mandan a comer a la cocina
cuando vienen las visitas.
Pero yo me río,
Y como bien,
Y crezco fuerte.
Mañana,
Yo comeré en la mesa
Cuando las visitas lleguen.
Entonces,
Nadie se atreverá
A decirme,
“Come en la cocina,”
Además,
Ellos verán que tan bello soy
Y sentirán vergüenza-
Yo, también, soy América.

Besides,
They’ll see how beautiful I am
