Estos mapaches de Toronto…
Que me dan golpecitos sobre el hombro
cuando estoy soñando, atardecer o amanecer,
en varios lugares afuera.
Con su cautela, su curiosidad – su curiosidad y cautela.
Con su firmeza y esas patas escrupulosas – escudriñando.
Su tarea – de buscar pedazos de sobras de La Vida.
¡ Como humanizan La Ciudad !

Who tap me on the shoulder
whenever I am dreaming, dusk or dawn,
in various places outside.
With their caution, their curiosity – their curiosity & caution.
With their single-mindedness & those fastidious paws – scrutinizing.
Their task – to find chunks of Life’s leftovers.
How they humanize The City !
